Introduction of Acupuncture and Moxibustion
The Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion was established in 1981. It is a characteristic unit combining traditional Acupuncture and Modern innovation therapy.
A outstanding team is operating the work: they are 2 Chief physicians, 1 Deputy chief physician , 3 Attending physicians, 1 Resident physician and 2 Therapists. This team has compiled more than 15 textbooks and 10 monographs over the past years. They also offerd courses to exceed 200 students per year, in both Chinese and English, as “basic acupuncture and moxibustion”, “acupuncture and moxibustion therapy”, “advanced acupuncture and moxibustion”, etc. The main research direction of the team is Acupuncture treatment on stroke, pain syndrome, insomnia and obesity . The department have taken charged or participated in about 20 research projects, published no less than 100 academic papers and 2 research projects have won prize of provincial level scientific and technological achievements. Each year ,more than 50,000 patients ,including outpatients and inpatients were accepted Acupuncture and Moxibustion treatment here.
